Last March some friends and I spent four days in Mammoth, CA. We snowboarded, hot tubbed, and all around had a great time. I had just started shooting with my T2i and put together a video of our trip, along with footage from my friend’s D90. We’re going again in March 2011, and my friend Jay made this “trailer” to get us all pumped. It might be funny to me since I know these people, and I was there. But it’s also a cool look at the new iMovie.
Either way, I can’t wait to get out there and do it all over again.
After eight months with Squarespace, I made the move back to Wordpress. I was a Wordpress user before, and I don’t even remember why I left. Squarespace is great for people who don’t need full control of their site. There’s no need for a hosting solution, no need to know anything about HTML, it’s basically fool proof. Leave it to me to not like that. I missed full access to my site through FTP. I missed being able to create indexes of files. I even missed breaking something in the code and learning how to fix it. I guess I’m just a tinkerer.
So now I’m back, and this blog will be better than ever. The only major suck is that even though it’s super easy to import a Wordpress blog into Squarespace, it’s impossible to do it the other way around. Not impossible, but not really something I want to learn for the 20 posts I wanted to move over. So instead of bothering with all that, I’m going to make this first post a little trip down memory lane. For starters, my first edited video ever:
The famous (infamous) laviator music video.
